In the red range of colours, this unique peony really adds something special to our assortment. Just like the name suggests, the colour is best described as satiny red. You can probably imagine it, but you would have to see and feel the flower petals to really understand why! This colour is most unusual among peonies, and the large fiercely positioned flower petals make ‘Red Satin’ an oddity and a front row eye-catcher. Average stems, very clean foliage and flowering comes easy for this one. If you are searching for that special red, which is anything but commonly available: this is your pick!
The (official) registration information entered on the right hand side of this page is presumably false and likely rightfully belonging to a now extinct lactiflora peony from Sass. The 'Red Satin' offered here is suspectedly either ignorantly, or conveniently (re)named in the trade. We are sticking to the official registration information here, but wish to note that we think it would be correct to assume that our 'Red Satin' is a real hybrid peony of unknown origin.
